About Me- Carly

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally stop pretending you’re okay. A place where you don’t have to mask, hold it all together, or keep meeting everyone else’s expectations at the expense of your own wellbeing.

As a CBT therapist — and as a neurodivergent person myself — I know how painful it can be to feel like you’re constantly trying to fit into a box that was never designed for you. That’s why my approach is warm, flexible, and completely personalised. You’re not a template, and your therapy shouldn’t be either.

Many of the people I work with describe feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break:

  • Always putting others first
  • Feeling responsible for everyone’s emotions
  • Struggling with perfectionism or fear of getting things “wrong”
  • Overthinking every decision
  • Feeling “too much” or “not enough”
  • Burning out from masking or trying to keep up
  • Carrying old wounds that still shape how they see themselves

If any of that resonates, you’re in the right place.

What I Can Help With

I have experience supporting people with a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety, worry, and panic
  • Depression, stress, and burnout
  • OCD, health anxiety, and social anxiety
  • PTSD, traumatic grief, and trauma‑related difficulties
  • Low self‑esteem, shame, and self‑criticism
  • Body dysmorphia
  • Specific phobias
  • Compulsive behaviours and behavioural addictions
  • Sleep issues and insomnia
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • People‑pleasing, perfectionism, and chronic self‑doubt

Neurodivergent‑Affirming Therapy

I have a special interest in working with autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD clients. You may have been told that anxiety, burnout, or low mood are “just part of being neurodivergent” — but that simply isn’t true. With the right support, it’s absolutely possible to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

Perinatal Mental Health

I also support people during pregnancy and early parenthood, including:

  • Perinatal anxiety and depression
  • Perinatal OCD
  • Insomnia and sleep difficulties
  • PTSD following traumatic birth, pregnancy complications, or baby loss

Whether you’re navigating neurodivergence, people‑pleasing, perfectionism, trauma, or the challenges of early parenthood, my aim is to help you feel seen, understood, and supported as you move toward a life that feels more like your own.
